BARCELONA

Barcelona is the city of design, style and architecture. Its visual richness has inspired geniuses like Gaudi, Domenech i Montaner, Picasso, Miro and Dali.

The greatest concentration of medieval architecture in Europe, built over ancient Roman structures, is located in the Gothic Quarter. Yet the Art Nouveau movement known as “Modernism” swept Barcelona off its feet in the early 20th century.

Its most famous figure was Antonio Gaudi, whose lyrical, flowing buildings are the image of Barcelona to millions of people. Among his famous works the Cathedral of Sagrada Familia and the Parc Güell stand out.
The heart is Las Ramblas: emblematic walk of the city full of life where you will see street artists, cafes, restaurants, shops and the famous Mercado de la Boquería.

And there is still more! Barcelona has the ideal location to explore other cities in Catalonia, such as Girona and Figueres, where the fascinating Dalí Theater-Museum is located.
