CENTENNIAL ARTISANS IN GRANADA

Granada

In the mulberry forests of the Alpujarras, the worms responsible for producing the coveted silk were woven, woven by the skillful hands of the Muslim artisans, which were then marketed in the European kingdoms through the ports of Genoa and Venice. We will visit workshops in the area of the Alcaicería, where they carve the wood with inlaid nacre, others where leather tanners work, or where they mold the ceramics with Granada motifs; and of course, a luthier who makes Spanish guitars, for his passion for music.
