Description
Mijas, a white village
Mijas is a delightful village up hill, a wonderful example of a white-washed Andalusian village located in the province of Málaga at 400 meters above sea-level, which allows the traveler, on a clear day, to enjoy incredible views over the sunny coast, the strait of Gibraltar and the African continent.
Nerja & Frigiliana
Nerja Old Town is known as “the balcony of Europe” and it is built on the remains of a fortress. Nerja caves are considered one of the biggest and most beautiful ones in Europe, which were formed by a series of cavities 5 million years old!. The water has formed this place an amazing stone castle with hundreds of stalactites and stalagmites. Only 5 km from Nerja, we also find Frigiliana: one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, whose Moorish neighborhood is one of the best preserved in the country.
Antequera & Dolmens
Since the Neolithic period, Antequera has been a place where all civilizations wanted to live. Now, this historical and monumental city can be discovered through this route, including its megalithic landscape, one of Europe’s best, built by the first communities more than 4000 years ago and included in the UNESCO World Heritage list Site. The tour also includes a walk next to the Moorish military fortress to enjoy the breath taking views: 28 churches, many convents and luxury palaces, not missing the Roman Baths and the Scribes Square. After visiting the oldest Renaissance church in Andalusia – Santa María’s Church – we cross the Moorish Wall and get to the XVI Century squares and streets of this incredible old town.
