Description
We will visit the facades and squares of the Cathedral: Praterías, with styles ranging from Romanesque to Baroque, Obradoiro with the façades of Pazo de Raxoi, the Hostal de los Reyes Católicos as well as the Romanesque Palacio de Gelmírez and the Cathedral, work of Casa and Novoa.
From the Quintana we will see the Berenguela, a famous baroque clock tower and the access to the Holy Door that will be reopened in 2021 for the Jubilee. The Plaza de la Inmaculada will show us the imposing façade of the San Martín Pinario Monastery. To finish, we will visit the Hostal de los Reyes Católicos, with its chapel and courtyards of the 16th century
Among the streets, the Rúa del Vilar with the Casa del Deán and its shops, the courtyard of the 16th century of the Colegio de Fonseca (University) in Calle del Franco, also known for its wide gastronomic offer, the Rúa de Acibechería, step forced for the pilgrims who come from the Caminos de Norte, the active Plaza de Cervantes, with its street stalls and antiquities market on Saturdays. The Plaza de Abastos is not far away, an excellent opportunity to get to know the delicious Galician gastronomy.
