GRANADA ARAB

Granada

Our private guide will pick us up at the hotel and we will go on a general visit to Granada adapting it according to interests.

Description

We will start at the Royal Chapel, where the Catholic Monarchs rest, by express will. Isabel and Fernando. Artificers of the reconquest of Spain and promoters of the discovery of America. Granada, a city of enchantment, hides much more: the first Renaissance cathedral in Spain; the madrassa, a former Muslim university; its labyrinthine streets of the Alcaicería, old Arab silk market; the Corral del Carbón, an Arab Alhóndiga from the 14th century, where merchandise was stored for trade. The entrance door admires whoever passes by and promises treasures and beauties inside.

We will walk through the Albaicín, passing its walls through the Puerta de Elvira, origin and entrance of Granada, which is like entering into its history. Beautiful corners and smell of jasmine. Arab baths like El Bañuelo, in perfect condition; convents and palatial houses take us to the steep Calle Chapíz, which is going to die in Sacromonte, before caves inhabited by gypsies, today tablaos where one of the best flamencos in Andalusia can be heard. We can continue to the Mirador de San Nicolás, with the best views of the Alhambra and the entire monumental complex, as well as being a good place to start tasting the city’s gastronomy.
